Thousands of people in northwestern Pakistan are fleeing their homes after the country’s worst floods in history washed away many towns and villages. Officials say 3.2 million people have been affected by the floods and more than 1,500 have died in the past week.
Al Jazeera’s Sohail Rahman travelled deep inside the Swat Valley, one of the regions hit hardest by the deluge, for an exclusive report on evacuation efforts to save the stranded survivors.
