Chinese engineers propose world’s biggest hydro-electric project in Tibet

China plans dams in Tibet along the Yarlung Zangbo River : Zangmu hydroelectric project The impact of this dam if they construct it would be immense as it is 50% bigger then the Three Gorges Dam, the worlds biggest so far.The Brahmaputra is a very important river to India and Bangladesh so this is likely to be a very controversial project. http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2010/may/24/chinese-hydroengineers-propose-tibet-dam
