This article from the BBC looks at the high number of suicides at Foxconn, the Taiwanese run sub-contractor that manufactures Apple iPhones and iPads in China. Considering the prices of the phones you would think workers could be paid a decent wage and work in decent conditions. But I guess that’s not good for share prices of teachnology companies.
